JOB TITLE: Sr Mgr Project Constuction

LOCATION: Wolf Creek

PAY RANGE: 17C - $130,300 - $173,700

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Other hours as required)

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

This position manages and oversees the preparation and installation of both Capital and O&M projects as well as providing site support services. This position is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with the project schedule and budget with high performance in the areas of Safety and Quality. The position is also responsible for ensuring that services are provided to support both on-line and outage Maintenance activities. The position reports directly to the Director of Engineering Projects.
• Provide direction to project personnel regarding duties for planning and implementation of projects. This includes both in-house and contract personnel
• Ensure that projects are adequately staffed with trained and qualified personnel to fulfill their respective job functions
• Act as the Contract Administrator for the MMC contract (i.e. BHI Energy). Ensure compliance to the contract and any subcontracts as applicable.
• Provide annual and long-range budgets for department and project implementation. Maintain adherence to approved budgets and provide report-out on actual vs. budget to support Engineering Projects Key Performance Reporting.
• Provide installation information for the preparation of Conceptual, Order-of-Magnitude, Budgetary, and Definitive Project Cost Estimates.
• Ensure that assigned projects meet the expected quality requirements.
• Ensure that assigned projects meet the expected schedule for deliverables and costs are aligned with project budgets.
• Provide site support services to ensure schedule (normal and TSEO) durations are met. These services will include such items as scaffold, insulation, painting and management of site tool rooms.
• Ensure adequate inventory of tools are available for daily and outage support.
• Administer IBEW contract and resolve associated issues
• Observe and document employee performance through the use of JPA's, performance planning, leadership development and improvement plans, MARC, and the behavior observation program.
• Provide continuous improvement through the use of corrective action, self-assessment and other programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience Requirements:
• This position requires at least 8 of years relevant experience. Relevant experience is defined as: Operations, Maintenance, Engineering or Project Management/Construction
• At least 3 years of progressive supervisory/management experience with at least 2 years' experience in a nuclear power plant environment.
• A BS degree in preferred but not required
• This position requires demonstrated leadership capability in a nuclear power plant environment.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute is desired, but not required.
