Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD-driven new product development projects, driving excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods while implementing new technologies to improve process capability, productivity, quality, and cost performance. They act as the critical link between Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Strategic Supply Chain partners to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing solutions across the enterprise.

This position serves as the global process and technology leader for ADM's Metals Manufacturing Technologies, including Machining, Plating, Loose Piece Stamping, and Hermetic Manufacturing Processes. The role provides strategic leadership, technical direction, and organizational influence across ADM manufacturing sites and strategic suppliers worldwide.

The Senior Manager will develop and execute technology roadmaps, establish best demonstrated practices, drive manufacturing productivity, and build organizational capability to support ADM's growth strategy. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Manufacturing Engineering and leads a global team of Manufacturing and Process Development Engineers.

Job Requirements

Leadership
  • Provide strategic leadership for Metals Manufacturing Technologies across engineering teams, manufacturing sites, and suppliers.
  • Lead and develop a global team of Manufacturing and Process Development Engineers.
  • Build organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and business leaders to drive priorities and execution.

Technology Strategy
  • Develop and execute global technology roadmaps that support growth, productivity, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Establish manufacturing standards and best practices for metals manufacturing technologies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, automation, and digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Prioritize technology investments and support capital planning across the global network.

Process Leadership
  • Serve as the enterprise SME for machining, plating, stamping, and hermetic manufacturing technologies.
  • Provide governance and technical leadership for manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and controls.
  • Lead the global technical community and resolve complex manufacturing challenges.

Operational Excellence
  • Drive productivity improvements through labor efficiency, cost reduction, automation, and capacity optimization.
  • Deploy best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing facilities.
  • Establish performance metrics and partner with sites to improve manufacturing performance.

Capital & Capability Development
  • Develop global equipment strategies, technology standards, and capital investment roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership for major capital projects, manufacturing transfers, and capacity expansions.
  • Standardize equipment, tooling, controls, and manufacturing approaches across the enterprise.

New Product Introduction
  • Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product development programs.
  • Partner with Product Development to optimize manufacturability, quality, yield, and cost.
  • Support successful product launches through process development and qualification.

Collaboration & Risk Management
  • Serve as the key interface between engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and suppliers.
  • Drive alignment and global deployment of standards and best practices.
  • Lead initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost improvement.
  • Manage technical risks, ensure compliance, and apply Lean/Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies.


What your background should look like
• Due to ITAR regulations, U.S. citizenship or U.S. lawful permanent residency (green card) is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience.
• Minimum of 5 years leading engineering teams, programs, or global technical organizations.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing manufacturing technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Strong experience driving productivity improvement, operational excellence, and manufacturing transformation initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional organizations in complex global manufacturing environments.
• Experience influencing organizational decisions without direct authority.
• Knowledge of machining, plating, stamping, hermetic manufacturing, or similar metals manufacturing technologies preferred.
• Experience supporting low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments preferred.
• Aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Strong project and program management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with proven ability to influence senior leaders across functions and regions.
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel globally approximately 25%-50%.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $158,600 - $237,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
