Full Job Description
Labcorp is seeking a US based remote Sr.Medical Science Liaison - Infectious Diseases/HIV/Hepatitis to join our team!

Work Schedule: 1st shift hours, no weekend or on-call rotation and travel up to 25% (Labcorp sites, conferences, building client relationships).

Job Responsibilities:

The Sr. Medical Science Liaison serves as a subject matter expert in Infectious Diseases/HIV/Hepatitis with the ability to engage in high-level scientific discussions.

Including and not limited to the following:
  • Prepare and present scientific and clinical presentations to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide strategic input for new assay development and positioning of new and current portfolio.
  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders (or have existing KOL relationships), healthcare practitioners, academic institutions, and industry personnel.
  • Lend support to managed care in private, state and federal insurer/payor negotiations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding marketed products.
  • Serve as an internal resource for information to promote Labcorp sponsored clinical trials.
  • Contributes to abstract submissions for Infectious Diseases conferences and manuscript preparation for medical and scientific journals.
  • Supports the commercial development of Labcorp products and educational efforts for sales as needed.
  • Maintains strong working relationships with key clinicians.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Medical Doctor (MD), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
  • 3 or more years of experience in clinical, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of experience in Infectious Diseases with an emphasis on HIV and Hepatitis

  • Ability to create impactful slide decks in line with audience needs and corporate strategy.
  • Ability to undertake/contribute to clinical research projects resulting in abstract submissions, poster and oral presentations, and manuscript preparation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the clinical application of our laboratory testing.
  • Ability to keep abreast of new data in area of interest
  • Ability to use computerized databases
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Ability to demonstrate effective organizational skills
  • Ability to lead medical meetings and preparing meeting summaries
  • Ability to manage speaker training and speaker coaching

Pay Range: $170k-$205k annually (USD)

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
