As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Peloton, you will thrive in a hands-on "design-build-test" culture, leading cross-functional project teams or overseeing complex electro-mechanical modules. Partnering closely with Industrial Design, Product Management, Electrical Engineering, and Operations, you'll apply deep technical expertise to transform customer needs into world-class, high-performing products.
Your Daily Impact- Engineering Excellence: Perform detailed component design, execute engineering and finite element analyses, and lead high-level architecture reviews to ensure milestone readiness.
- Prototyping & Testing: Coordinate in-house prototype builds, author rigorous test plans, oversee physical testing setups, and analyze data to validate performance and quality.
- Team Leadership: Coach and mentor junior engineers while using data-driven insights to guide cross-functional decision-making.
You Bring to Peloton- Core Technical Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Product Design Engineering with 6+ years of experience grounded in statics, dynamics, stress analysis, FEA, and material science.
- Design & Manufacturing: Proficiency in 3D MCAD (SolidWorks preferred), alongside hands-on knowledge of core manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, casting, machining) and metrology.
- Execution & Collaboration: Proven ability to manage PLM/ECN processes, source rapid prototyping methods, and communicate complex concepts through clear reports and cross-functional teamwork.
Bonus Points- Advanced degree (Master's) or experience as a Technical Lead in startup/agile environments.
- Hands-on maker mindset (welding, 3D printing, machining) paired with experience in thermal, kinematics, or noise/vibration analysis.
- Specialized expertise in fitness equipment, high-volume consumer electronics, or power transmission systems (belts, pulleys, bearings).
- Experience collaborating with overseas development and manufacturing partners (Asia).

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$139,800-$171,750 USD
