As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will support the development of next generation technologies that enable new market applications. You will provide technical leadership to a team of mechanical engineers implementing innovative solutions to complex thermal, structural and packaging design challenges. This opportunity will encompass multiple product families that include high power electronics, remote plasma sources, microwave delivery systems, and ozone generators. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Engineering Manager.

You are highly self-motivated and capable of combining the efforts of the team to support innovative designs and differentiated technology.
You Will Make an Impact By: - Working as the lead of a technical team responsible for the mechanical design, modeling, test, and packaging of highly complex electro-mechanical components, integrated sub-systems, assemblies, and systems.
- Developing innovative designs that are cost effective and manufacturable.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, tolerance analysis, and design validation activities.
- Develop prototypes and oversee testing to verify product performance and reliability.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for design and manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product management teams.
- Analyzing thermal and structural performance using FEA simulation.
- Communicating effectively with both a cross-functional development team and project management in oral and written forms.
- Ensuring product meets applicable design requirements.
- Analyzing and implementing continuous improvements in quality, reliability, and cost reduction.
Skills You Bring: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required with 7+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering analysis.
- Ability to understand and manage tradeoffs between cost, performance, and schedule.
- Skilled with the design and test of complex mechanical systems from requirements to realization
- Strong technical communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills
- Expert level SolidWorks user
- Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
- Knowledge of advanced machining techniques
Preferred Skills:- Experience with CFD techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of aluminum, stainless steel or ceramic materials.
- Semiconductor manufacturing industry background.
- Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory standards.
*This position can become a hybrid role of some remote and onsite days each week once initial onboarding is completed. The role must be based within commuting distance to Wilmington, MA
Compensation and Benefits: Salary Pay Range: $ 100,000.00 - 170,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
