Full Job Description
Job Description

As the Master Planner, you will orchestrate the translation of unconstrained demand forecasts into
highly feasible, operationally validated physical constrained supply plans. You will strictly own the supply
plan and material constraints while co-owning critical S&OP tradeoff decisions on monthly cadence of
the S&OP Supply Chain Review (SCR). You will be responsible for validating demand inputs, running
capacity and material constraints, reconciling gaps, and driving the execution of the locked operating
plan across cross-functional teams.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Key Duties & Responsibilities within the S&OP Process (4-Week Cadence)
• Week 1 - Demand Validation & Data Integrity: Lead alignment that ensures demand
inputs are clean, realistic, and aligned before SCR begins. Challenge and validate the
forecast vs. actuals (bias and error), identify abnormal demand spikes, and review
backlogs with Customer Fulfillment Solutions (CFS). Ensure master data integrity by
validating lead times, batch/lot sizes, and safety stock levels
• Week 2 - Supply Review & Material Feasibility: Translate demand into a feasible supply
plan by evaluating material and capacity constraints. Run the MRP simulations to
identify raw material shortages or long lead-time risks, and evaluate production
sequences against available vessel and labor capacity to pinpoint bottlenecks together
with Production Planner & Scheduler. Simulate scenario planning, including
pull-in/push-out order strategies and alternate sourcing.
• Week 3 - Pre-S&OP Balancing: Reconcile demand against supply to prepare
decision-ready scenarios (Unconstrained x Constrained). Identify unmet demand, define
allocation strategies and service priorities for key customers, and document supply and
capacity risks alongside Supply Chain opportunities. Recommend inventory strategies,
such as building ahead when capacity allows or deferring production to avoid excess.
• Week 4 - PCR & Execution Kick-Off: Drive decision readiness and closure by summarizing
key gaps, tradeoffs, and risks for the Plan Consensus Review (PCR). Upon locking the
approved operating plan, communicate execution priorities clearly to Production,
Procurement, Logistics, and CFS teams. Propose targets for the next cycle, including
service levels and adherence expectations.
• Daily Standard Work & Execution
• Responsible for driving the execution of the wing-to-wing operational plan while
reacting to operational realities, setting priorities and alignment with Supply Chain
partners to balance supply v. demand.
• Monitor material shortages, coordinate expedite actions with Procurement, and oversee
daily Purchase Requisitions (PR) to Purchase Orders (PO) conversions.
• Track production adherence against the schedule, update for quality holds or unplanned
downtime, and adjust short-term schedules within the planning horizon.
• Manage inventory touchpoints, including validating system accuracy, reviewing service
levels, and identifying and driving reductions for Slow-Moving/Non-Moving (SMNM) or
obsolete inventory.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and support New Product Introductions (NPI)
and lifecycle management.
• Define methodologies for prioritizing the activities of the Master Planner team based on
information from other areas of the company.
• Propose and lead the implementation of new policies, processes, and procedures within
Supply Planning to ensure continuous improvement in the area and expand the use of
new tools, measurements, and methodologies.
• Replicate knowledge related to the Master Planning area to other employees
(Coaching/Mentoring).
• Key Characteristics
• Team player, demonstrated proactive and self-starter behavior
• Develop relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal
and external stakeholders
• Ability to effectively communicate information and data (verbal and written)
• Supports continuous improvement activities
• Comfortable analyzing and interpreting large datasets or spreadsheets
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Advanced analytical and technical problem-solving skills to manage complex tradeoff
decisions involving scheduling conflicts, capacity disruptions, and material shortages
• Experience in ERP systems and advanced MRP planning modules (e.g., SAP/MRP)
• Demonstrated proactive leadership and the ability to influence cross-functional internal
and external stakeholders through strong negotiation and communication skills
• Comfortable analyzing, interpreting, and manipulating large datasets to develop supply
scenarios
• Strong adherence to drive a Safety First mindset

Qualifications
• Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related major
(or High School diploma with at least 08 years of planning or related supply chain work
experience)
• At least 05 years or more of planning or relevant supply chain work experience
• 05 years of experience on SAP - MRP or Logistic modules
• Preferred (if applicable):
• ASCM CPIM - Certified in production and inventory planning
