OverviewThe Senior Market Intelligence and Business Analytics Manager is responsible for establishing and leading a strategic intelligence and business analytics capability that supports enterprise decision-making across ISACA. This role integrates external market, competitive, regulatory, and customer intelligence with internal business performance analysis to identify opportunities, evaluate trends, and inform strategic planning and investment decisions.
The position partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to provide analysis, insights, and recommendations related to growth opportunities, portfolio priorities, business performance, and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include developing, monitoring relevant external and internal indicators, designing key performance measurement approaches, producing forecasts, models, dashboards, and executive-level materials to support planning and decision-making. The candidate is also expected to leverage modern AI tools and methodologies, to accelerate analysis, enhance the quality and depth of insights, and democratize access to intelligence across ISACA by making relevant information easier for leaders and teams to find, interpret, and apply.
This role requires the ability to synthesize information from multiple internal and external sources, apply structured analytical methods, and translate complex findings into clear and actionable business insights.
Responsibilities
Market Intelligence Development
- Build and continuously evolve the market intelligence capability to support cross-functional teams and leadership through market insights, competitive analysis and strategic communication
- Actively monitor competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and industry shifts relevant to ISACA's business
- Actively monitor and synthesize information from industry sources, analyst reports, customer research, regulatory bodies, and competitive announcements
- Develop and maintain comprehensive intelligence products such as opportunity sizing analyses, market scenarios, and trend assessment that inform strategic planning and decision-making
- Design and deploy interactive dashboards and reporting platforms that provide teams with real-time access to market data, competitive positioning and industry trends
- Drive market- and intelligence-based analyses and recommendations that support enterprise strategy, partnership assessments, and portfolio decision-making
- Leverage AI-first methodologies and modern tools (for example Claude, ClaudeCoWork, and other AI models) to accelerate intelligence gathering, analysis and presentation
Business Performance & Decision Support
- Drive market- and intelligence-based analyses and recommendations that support enterprise strategy, partnership assessments, and portfolio decision-making.
- Synthesize internal business performance data with external market intelligence to identify trends, opportunities, and risks with strategic implications.
- Provide continuous, proactive support to the Board and Executive Team in understanding competitive moves, market dynamics, and their implications for organizational strategy and positioning.
- Translate complex market data and competitive intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership through written materials, presentations, and strategic discussions.
Strategic Planning Support
- Drive the integration of market intelligence into ISACA's strategic planning process, ensuring that competitive and market insights inform annual planning, portfolio prioritization, and investment decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally with commercial, product, and operating teams to understand decision-making needs and continually improve how intelligence is analyzed, synthesized, and presented to executive leadership.
- Build and cement market intelligence and data-driven decision-making as a key organizational capability within ISACA, establishing best practices, frameworks, and governance for ongoing intelligence operations.
Forecasting, Modeling & Business Intelligence
- Develop financial models, market scenario analyses, and forecasting models that support strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, and investment decision-making.
- Design and implement KPI frameworks, dashboards, and reporting approaches that provide visibility into business performance and support organizational planning.
- Analyze and synthesize multiple internal and external data sources to generate defensible, actionable insights that drive high-quality business decisions
Qualifications
Required Field of Study:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, statistics, data analytics, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic/competitive intelligence, strategy, business intelligence/analytics, corporate strategy, management consulting, strategic finance, or similar insight-oriented roles, including hands-on experience developing financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses, market sizing, and business cases.
Description of Minimum Relevant Experience Required:
Hands-on experience with BI/dashboarding and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Demonstrated ability to build Excel-based financial models, including forecasting, scenario modeling, market sizing, and business cases.
Experience structuring ambiguous problems, synthesizing multiple data sources, and delivering defensible, decision-ready insights.
Proven track record communicating with senior leaders via executive-ready presentations/memos and clear recommendations.
Preferred Field of Study:
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Analytics/Data Science, Economics, Finance, or related)
Preferred Years of Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in one or more of: strategic/competitive intelligence, strategy, business intelligence/analytics, corporate strategy, management consulting, strategic finance, or similar insight-oriented roles
5+ years of management and/or project leadership experience, with demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives
Description of Preferred Relevant Experience:
Experience in membership organizations, credentialing, education, professional services, or other information-rich environments where market shifts affect portfolio decisions.
Working knowledge of SQL and/or analytics languages/tools (e.g., Python, R, SPSS) for querying, data modeling, or statistical analysis.
Experience supporting partnership evaluation, portfolio strategy, strategic finance, or investment prioritization.
Domain familiarity with cybersecurity, digital trust, IT governance, risk, or audit markets.
Strong understanding of AI, its potential roles in solving business problems, and the future trajectory of AI capabilities.
Certification and Licensing Preferred:
- CBIP (Certified Business Intelligence Professional)

- Modeling and Decision Support: Ability to develop forecasting, financial, and scenario models that inform investment decisions, portfolio management, and strategic planning.
- Cross-Source Data Integration and Synthesis: Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize multiple internal and external data sources to generate defensible insights and support high-quality business decisions.
- Market and Competitive Intelligence: Knowledge of market analysis, competitive monitoring, and trend evaluation, with the ability to translate external developments into strategic implications and recommendations.
Occasional onsite presence and periodic travel may be required to attend company-sponsored events, meetings, all-hands gatherings, trainings, or other role-specific activities.
