Role Summary

As Sr. Manager, Vehicle Architecture, you will drive vehicle system-level and component-level mechanical integration activities from initial concept through production.You'll lead a team of architecture zone lead engineers to instill packaging feasibility across a complete vehicle design throughout all phases of the Rivian Development Process (RDP). With your experience and proactive mindset, you'll play a vital role in ensuring Rivian's products deliver world class performance.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate program development activities between packaging and project management teams
• Develop timing plans for packaging milestones and activities in-line with overall program schedules
• Create, assign, and manage packaging issues and conduct regular packaging review meetings
• Track packaging development KPIs and maintain progress reports for all packaging metrics
• Perform benchmarking analyses and maintain database of dimensional benchmarks
• Interface with subsystem engineers to drive packaging feasibility and ensure dimensional targets are met

Qualifications
• B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in automotive packaging, including at least one full product
lifecycle from concept through production
• Proficiency with timing plan development and resource mapping
• Comprehensive understanding of functional vehicle systems and corresponding design
principles
• Working knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements
• Experience with standard 3D CAD software such as CATIA V5 or V6
• Working Hours: Standard (8am - 5pm)
• Travel Requirements of Position: At least once per quarter

Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $161,000-201,200 for Michigan based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
