Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Technical Marketing owns the Industrial Power Conversion (IPC) Technology Roadmap, guided by our Product Line Managers' direction, aligning future AC-DC and configurable power solutions with market needs. This role bridges advanced engineering, product development, and marketing to define and launch next-gen highly differentiated products. This role requires strong design knowledge, technical insight, and customer engagement skills to translate complex needs and competitive trends into actionable strategies. The Senior Technical Marketing Manager will work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, applications, and a defined list of key Industrial customers globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Owns and drives the IPC Technology Roadmap, in alignment with the Product Line Managers', ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives, emerging technologies, and evolving customer requirements.
  • Partner with Advanced Engineering & Product development teams to shape next-generation architectures, specifications, and platform concepts that provide differentiated performance and functionality in the market.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development Teams to ensure timely, cost effective, and technically sound product introduction. Once the product enters the development phase, the product manager will resume ownership.
  • Work with Product Line Marketing Managers to define value propositions and go-to-market positioning.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market assessments to identify technological trends, new application opportunities, and potential disruptions.
  • Engage with key customers and channel partners to capture unmet needs, validate concepts, and position our new differentiated product solutions into high-value applications and markets.
  • Support cross-functional alignment across global engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure consistent messaging and customer engagement.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Location: Denver, Colorado
  • Requires up to 40% travel, primarily within North America for customer visits.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated success developing and launching differentiated technology products.
  • Strong understanding of power architecture, power conversion trends, and system-level design trade-offs.
  • Proven ability to lead global cross-functional initiatives and influence technical directions.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical and strategic thinking skills.


EXPERIENCE:
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced engineering, technical marketing, product development / management, engineering leadership roles within the power conversion.


EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, or related technical field.


COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $170,000 to $210,000 per year.
