Sr. Manager, Sales Operations OTC

As a Sr. Manager, Sales Operations OTC supporting Sales Operations & Effectiveness, you will be trusted to be responsible for the overall sales operations of the business to deliver market share, revenue, and margin goals. Directs and oversees business' sales practices, which includes developing strategies, and objectives. Effectively manages deal strategies, making strategic sales investments, as well as revenue recognition. Provides insight and develops priorities for sales projects by understanding customer and competitive situation. Engages in developing value proposition and product differentiation, while optimizing business goals and constraints. Establishes sales standards and manages budgetary controls. Usually possesses a mix of technical & business skills and achieves business results through multi-function collaboration.

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Own and continuously improve the end-to-end S&OP process, including the facilitation of monthly demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP, and executive S&OP meetings.
  • Prepare and present executive-level S&OP summary decks, translating complex data into clear narratives that support leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to incorporate account-level intelligence, promotional plans, new item launches, and distribution changes into the demand forecast.
  • Leads commercial innovation project management; develop framework and operations playbook (SOP, workflow documentation, etc.)
  • Leads product launch, lifecycle project management, and commercial strategy (MAP/ 3P downstream)
  • Partners with transportation and sales to drive OTC customer cost-to-serve efficiencies


Customer Planning & Collaboration
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal replenishment, inventory, and supply chain teams.
  • Monitor retailer inventory levels and proactively identify risks and opportunities related to supply, service, and inventory management.
  • Lead communications and collaboration related to demand changes, supply constraints, and inventory optimization.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs.; Assoc.+11 yrs.; M.S.+4 yrs.; PhD+3 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience in sales operations, demand planning, supply chain, or a related analytical commercial role, ideally within CPG, food & beverage, or consumer goods.
  • Direct experience owning or actively participating in an S&OP process in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong forecasting and demand planning skills, including familiarity with statistical modeling and consensus-based planning approaches.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP and demand planning systems (SAP, Oracle, o9, Kinaxis, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
