Position SummaryThe Senior Manager - Resource Planning Technology is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting data, reporting, and analytics solutions. This role translates complex business needs into scalable data integrations, SQL-based solutions, and actionable insights that drive operational and strategic decision-making.
This position combines strong technical expertise with design and oversight of data pipelines, reporting platforms, and visualization. The Senior Manager applies advanced analytical judgment, fosters data curiosity, and promotes modern tools-including SQL, enterprise data platforms, visualization tools, and Microsoft Copilot-to enhance efficiency, automation, and solution quality.
Key Responsibilities- Design, development, and delivery of organizational reporting and analytics solutions aligned to business and operational objectives
- Translate business requirements into scalable effective data solutions
- Drive the creation of high-impact dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define metrics, and deliver actionable insights
- Optimize performance of data processes, queries, and reporting solutions
- Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio) to improve automation, documentation, and development efficiency
- Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability of reporting systems
- Foster a culture of data curiosity, continuous improvement, and innovation across the team
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of relevant experience in analytics, reporting, or data engineering (with leadership experience preferred)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences
- Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, data flows, and how analytics supports business operations and decision-making
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Experience designing, building, and supporting scalable reporting and data integration solutions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and resolving issues
- Experience implementing or leveraging AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to improve analytics workflows
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members while promoting best practices
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Workforce Management (WFM) concepts, tools, or analytics (e.g., forecasting, scheduling, capacity planning, real-time adherence, or operational performance reporting, administrative functions)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, or other AI-enabled automation tools in an enterprise environment
- Strong experience designing executive-level dashboards and visualizations with a focus on usability and storytelling
- Experience working with healthcare data domains (e.g., claims, pharmacy, clinical, provider, or operational data)
- Proficiency in BI and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, with strong data storytelling capabilities
- Familiarity with ETL and data integration tools (e.g., SSIS, Alteryx) and modern data engineering practices
- Knowledge of SDLC, testing frameworks, and data quality management practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive data-driven decision-making at the leadership level
Education- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$67,900.00 - $149,328.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
