Sr. Manager, Project Management - AI in Product Management (AIPM)

General Responsibilities:- Establishing scalable processes - standardized templates, operating routines, and reporting - for collecting AI experimentation from the product community, including ~75 VP+ Product Towers
- Tactically operating the end-to-end pipeline of collection, triage, and dissemination of inputs to Track Leads and the broader program, blending scalable mechanisms (e.g., intakes) with high-touch ground game (directly engaging each product leader on a defined cadence)
- Maintaining a living map of AI champions and leads across the LOBs in support of the AIPM leadership team
- Identifying which techniques are emerging as best practices and teeing them up for action by the program team, so local innovation compounds into enterprise-wide benefit
- Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex, dynamic environment, revising to meet rapidly changing requirements
- Partnering cross-functionally with product leaders to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership that drives project delivery
- Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels to ensure delivery of commitments
- Leveraging problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
- Demonstrating a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic, complex environment
- Bringing excellent communication and partnership skills, essential for interacting with key stakeholders across the company to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
- At least 7 Years of Project Management experience
- At least 1 Year of People Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:- Masters / MBA degree
- 8+ years of Project Management experience
- 2+ years of People Management experience
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
- Demonstrated interest in AI transformation and upskilling in AI and agentic tooling
- Hands-on use of AI agents and agentic tooling (e.g., Claude Code) - even early-stage, self-driven experimentation counts
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
