Full Job Description
We are hiring a: Senior Product Manager - SPT Control Panels (MV/LV)

St. Louis, MO (Onsite)

Watlow is seeking a technically adept Senior Product Manager to drive growth and innovation across our Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) control panel portfolio within our Sustainable Process Technologies (SPT) segment. Reporting to the Sr. Director, SPT Business Segment, this role is instrumental in championing Watlow's medium voltage system solutions while supporting the continued growth of our low voltage product line. You will work closely with customers, marketing, and internal development teams to identify technical gaps, shape product roadmaps, and support commercialization, ultimately establishing Watlow as the preferred partner for high-capacity thermal systems integration.

What you'll do:
  • Product ownership: Architect the product vision and roadmap for Watlow's MV and LV control panel portfolio, leading end-to-end from establishing business priorities and supporting investment decisions through driving successful project execution with minimal need for escalation.
  • Platform oversight: Partner with Engineering and Sales to support continuous advancements, ensuring Watlow's products keep pace with customer needs and evolving market demand, while working closely with local and global suppliers to protect the integrity of the supply chain from components through panel delivery.
  • Strategic market engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for strategic customers and key accounts, building direct relationships with OEMs, EPCs, and industrial end users in power-delivery applications that inform roadmap priorities and align to the product vision.
  • Commercial leadership: Partner directly with Sales and Marketing to shape go-to-market strategy, price targets, and campaigns, leading product marketing and strategic initiatives tailored for MV panel solutions in verticals such as power generation, oil & gas, semiconductor, and chemical processing.
  • Adjacent opportunity capture: Identify and capture adjacent business opportunities by integrating control panels with complementary Watlow technologies, including heaters, sensors, and controls.
  • Technical expertise: Serve as a global Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Watlow's LV and MV panel technologies, acting as the technical focal point for critical issues and driving the creation and delivery of technical content, training, and demonstrations for customers and internal teams.

What you'll need to succeed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of product management experience in an industrial, electrical, or technical manufacturing environment, with a track record of owning a product roadmap from concept through commercialization
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear product strategy and business priorities, working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and marketing teams
  • Comfort operating in technically complex industries (such as energy, industrial equipment, automation, or process manufacturing), with the ability to learn new technical domains quickly
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage at both technical and executive levels, including direct experience with OEMs, EPCs, or industrial end customers
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with minimal oversight, comfortable making prioritization decisions and communicating trade-offs to senior stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:
  • Direct, technical experience in medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems, motor control equipment, or control panel design and integration (e.g. switchgear, motor starters, soft starters, VSDs/VFDs, SCR power controllers, PLC/HMI integration)
  • Understanding of industry standards related to LV/MV equipment, such as UL 508A, EN 60204-1, IEEE 519, IEC 62271-200, and UL 347
