Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Procurement Indirect Corporate Services is responsible for leading procurement strategy, category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and stakeholder engagement across a portfolio of corporate services categories. This role directly manages procurement professionals supporting Consulting Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal Services, Marketing, Travel Management, and Vehicle Lease Programs. The position has direct category ownership and accountability for Marketing, Travel Management, and Vehicle Leasing, while providing leadership, governance, and strategic direction across all assigned corporate services categories. The Senior Manager will develop and execute short and long-term category strategies that deliver measurable business value through cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital improvements, supplier innovation, risk mitigation, and operational excellence. A key component of this role is serving as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to business stakeholders, particularly within Marketing. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise across marketing spend categories including media, creative agencies, production, market research, events, sponsorships, promotional materials, digital marketing, marketing technology, travel management, and vehicle lease programs. Leveraging strong market intelligence, supplier knowledge, commercial acumen, and procurement best practices, this leader will provide strategic recommendations, challenge conventional thinking, and influence business decisions that optimize enterprise value and supplier performance.

 

Success in this role requires exceptional stakeholder management, sourcing and negotiation expertise, strong commercial and contractual knowledge, supplier relationship management capabilities, and the ability to operate with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic environment. The role partners closely with senior business leaders in Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Marketing, and external suppliers to deliver procurement solutions aligned with enterprise objectives. In addition to category leadership responsibilities, the Senior Manager is responsible for building and developing a high-performing procurement team through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and on-the-job development while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities  
    • Develop and execute category management and strategic sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives and business priorities.
    • Deliver measurable savings, cost avoidance, working capital improvements, and overall value creation across assigned categories.
    • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders through proactive engagement, effective communication, and strong business partnership.
    • Lead complex sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract discussions that optimize commercial outcomes while appropriately managing risk.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance standards, and contracting requirements.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics, supplier capabilities, industry trends, emerging technologies, and category-specific risks.
    • Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, service, innovation, and supplier performance across the supply base.
    • Balance stakeholder requirements with enterprise financial objectives, procurement strategies, and risk management considerations.
    • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, and other business functions to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Utilize spend analytics, benchmarking, market intelligence, and supplier performance data to support informed decision-making.
    • Establish supplier performance management and governance processes that drive accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Maintain accurate procurement data and ensure integrity within procurement systems, reporting tools, and sourcing platforms.
    • Promote ethical sourcing practices, supplier diversity, and responsible procurement standards.
    • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and eliminate non-value-added activities.
    • Respond with urgency to business needs, sourcing opportunities, supplier issues, and market conditions.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and procurement best practices.

     

What we are looking for

  • 7+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple direct reports
  • 5+ years of project management or procurement experience, including tracking, and planning projects.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs with urgency.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross functional environment.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and internal relationship management skills
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques
  • Proven success in providing leadership building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and must be able to influence others without direct management authority
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management
  • Highly skilled in Excel and Power Point
  • Experience leading procurement activities within large multinational organizations.
  • Experience with procurement platforms including SAP, Ariba, and contract lifecycle management systems.
  • Experience managing Marketing, Travel, Fleet, Consulting, HR, IT, or Legal Services categories.
  • Strong understanding of supplier risk management and procurement governance practices.
  • Experience leading organizational change and procurement transformation initiatives.
  • Experience developing global or regional category strategies.

Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
