About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Manager, Procurement to join our team at our Los Angeles, CA location. As a Senior Manager, Procurement, you will be accountable for leading strategic co-manufacturing partnerships and ensuring operational excellence across quality, cost, service, and supply continuity. This role plays a critical part in enabling reliable production and strong cross-functional collaboration that supports Aspire Bakeries' growth and customer commitments.
This role requires you to be onsite in our Los Angeles, CA office four days per week, providing hands-on collaboration with the team and daily exposure to the pulse of the business.
Compensation- Salary Range: $108,000 - $130,000
Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)- Lead and manage co-manufacturing bakery partnerships to ensure alignment on quality, cost, service, and production performance
- Drive co-manufacturer performance through KPI tracking, continuous improvement initiatives, and corrective action plans
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal cross-functional teams and external co-manufacturers to ensure clear communication and issue resolution
- Partner with R&D, Food Safety, Logistics, and Planning to resolve manufacturing challenges and mitigate operational risks
- Provide regular performance, risk, and mitigation updates in collaboration with the Planning team
- Maintain accurate co-manufacturer data including pricing, SKUs, payment terms, and contractual documentation
- Support annual budgeting, onboarding, and vendor setup for co-manufacturing partners
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Procurement, Food Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in co-manufacturing, food production, supply chain, or operations management
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing operations, quality systems, and supply planning processes
- Proven ability to manage external vendor relationships and drive measurable performance improvements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and KPI management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP or planning systems (e.g., SAP)
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)- Experience within bakery manufacturing or frozen food environments
- Familiarity with food safety, regulatory, and compliance standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience supporting budgeting and financial planning activities
