Full Job Description
Position Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Pro Field Merchandising contributes to driving The Home Depot's growth in the wholesale distribution channel by effectively collaborating with our outside salesforce and their leadership in the field to implement Pro Merchandising initiatives. This role focuses on optimizing local assortments and providing essential merchandising training and support to Pro Project Specialists, Outside Sales Representatives, and Pro Sales Managers. The Senior Manager, Pro Field Merchandising utilizes data-driven insights to develop growth strategies across all Pro Merchandising categories and support the Pro One Supply Chain assortment through our Flatbed Distribution Centers and Direct Fulfillment Centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 25 % One Supply Chain & Assortment Optimization- Identify underperforming products to optimize assortment and increase sales potential. Analyze space in Pro One Supply Chain assortment to maximize sales and gross margin in FDC/DFC locations
  • 25% Performance Tracking- Monitor key performance indicators, ensuring accountability for merchandising sales targets and project effectiveness
  • 25% Sales Team Engagement- Influence Pro Project Specialist routines to align with Pro Merchandising objectives and provide with necessary tools for success. Collaborate with Outside Sales Directors to develop merchandising strategies to enhance market presence
  • 25% Training & Development- Conduct local training sessions for outside sales teams to improve product knowledge leading to sales growth

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time


Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:
  • Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes that cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
