Full Job Description
The Position:

The Sr. Manager PMO will be accountable for the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects to ensure business objectives are met and accomplished on time, within budget, and meet operational standards. The successful candidate will oversee and manage a variety of projects across the organization, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of product development and project management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation for research and development, infrastructure, and other prioritized corporate-level initiatives.
  • Lead project teams across multiple sites, driving effective stakeholder communication and collaboration to achieve project goals while working closely with Core Team Leads to drive projects to success.
  • Serve as a leader for assigned programs/projects with a high level of comfort in leading others including senior level personnel.
  • Monitor and maintain project progress according to key metrics including budget, schedule, resource allocations, issues, risks, and scope changes.
  • Identify, raise, and address issues or risks that arise while implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify individual project resource requirements and portfolio capacity needed. Work with functional leads to identify and assign individual project responsibilities.
  • Conduct post-project lessons learned to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of project management framework and tools.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project management team and broader organization.
  • Work with business leaders and PMO leadership to align product / program roadmaps to goals, portfolio priorities, budgets, and resource plans.
Who You Are:
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in a life-science environment, ideally in diagnostics, genomics, product development, or similar background.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in life sciences, biotechnology, engineering, business, or related field.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Smartsheet experience is ideal.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience in product development, particularly with Design Control procedures.
  • Ability to effectively lead people and drive results through cross-functional engagement.
  • Flexibility to manage any given changes within projects and the broader portfolio.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to influence within a matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortability in presenting to all levels (including the executive team) of the organization.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, clinical, regulatory, operations, and commercial departments.
  • CAPM, PMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • You are a good business partner and a good human.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
