Job Description:DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Planning Tool, located in Raynham, MA, Raritan, NJ, or West Chester, PAThis role is a critical leadership position responsible for the vision, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise planning and forecasting platforms that support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes across the organization. The individual will act as the business owner for planning technologies and partner closely with Finance, Technology, Data & Analytics, Reporting, and Business stakeholders to enable world-class forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and performance management capabilities.
The successful candidate will provide leadership across the planning technology ecosystem and drive the evolution of digital planning capabilities, ensuring solutions remain scalable, integrated, user-centric, and aligned with business priorities. While the underlying technology may include platforms such as Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud, OneStream, Oracle Hyperion, IBM Planning Analytics, or future planning solutions, the focus of the role is on business value and FP&A transformation rather than ownership of a specific technology platform.
Key Responsibilities- Set and deliver the roadmap for enterprise planning and forecasting capabilities.
- Own planning platforms, processes, governance, standards, and best practices.
- Standardize processes, data, security, and user experience across the organization.
- Translate FP&A priorities and requirements into scalable solutions for budgeting, forecasting, long-range and workforce planning, scenario modelling, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Prioritize enhancements based on business value and strategic objectives.
- Guide solution architecture to ensure scalability, sustainability, and enterprise integration.
- Ensure trusted, governed data and consistent integration across planning and reporting.
- Advance connected planning, analytics, and scenario modelling to improve decisions.
- Track platform performance, adoption, and business outcomes through KPIs.
- Manage risks, issues, controls, security, and governance requirements.
- Simplify and automate processes to improve productivity and user experience.
- Lead and develop a high-performing, globally connected planning team.
- Coach strategic thinking, product management, stakeholder engagement, and digital finance skills.
QualificationsEducationRequired: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred: MBA, Master's Degree, or equivalent advanced qualification.
ExperienceRequired:
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Finance Technology, Enterprise Performance Management, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading enterprise planning, forecasting, or performance management solutions.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives in complex global environments.
- Strong understanding of FP&A processes, financial planning cycles, and management reporting.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships across Finance, Technology, and business organizations.
- Proven people leadership experience.
Preferred:
- Experience with one or more planning platforms, including, but not limited to Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BPC, OneStream, Oracle Hyperion / EPM Cloud, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
- Experience leading large-scale finance transformation or digital modernization programs requiring change management to drive user adoption.
- Knowledge of integrated business planning, connected planning, and enterprise performance management concepts.
- Product management, agile delivery, or portfolio governance experience.
- Experience working in global matrix organizations.
- Experience in MedTech, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing environments.

- Certifications: APICS, PMP, or similar certifications preferred but not required

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The anticipated base pay range for this position is :$122,000.00 - $212,750.00
