What we need

As a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Quality you will create and communicate Symbotic's supplier manufacturing and quality strategies. You will build and drive a supplier manufacturing and quality execution processes, while being an advocate on behalf of supply chain function and operational partners to ensure support for core business objectives. As a leader you will be a change agent for the manufacturing & quality organization.

What we do

As part of the Manufacturing organization, the Quality team ensures Symbotic products and processes meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer requirements while complying with industry standards. By partnering cross-functionally across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Test teams, they embed strong quality practices, quality planning, defect prevention, and process validation early in the product lifecycle - from prototype through production. Encompassing product, site, manufacturing, and supplier Quality, the team actively uses product and field data to drive continuous improvement, maintaining consistency in the production of automated systems and robots to ensure reliable product launches and optimal system performance.

What you'll do

  • Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.


  • Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.


  • Assists SLT with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.


  • Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.


  • Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.


  • Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.


  • Create and execute an effective qualification, approval, audit, and compliance process for global suppliers.


  • Create an effective Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) execution process, through root cause analysis, containment, corrective, and preventative measures.


  • Ensure closure to supplier non-conformances by issuing Non-Conforming Material Returns (NCMR) and Deviation Notifications. Assess and perform on site supplier audits as required.


  • Generate and monitor monthly supplier scorecards and drive supplier performance improvement actions as required.


  • Define opportunities for policy, process, and quality risk elimination activities across supply chain.


  • Deep collaboration across Supply Chain, Ops Eng., and Manufacturing teams to identify quality strategies, gaps, and procedures to satisfy manufacturing requirements.


  • Ensure development, training, and implementation of supplier quality tools and processes for all quality engineering team members, internal stakeholders, and suppliers.


  • Solid business judgment, including the ability to anticipate and weigh the impact of decisions.


  • Highly skilled in manage conflict, both with suppliers and internal stakeholders.


  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize team objectives and activities and in a dynamic environment.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline required.


  • Minimum of 10 years of Program Management and Manufacturing experience within a regulated manufacturing industry required.


  • Minimum of 5 years of direct management experience required.


  • Knowledge of industry quality systems.


  • Highly analytical, with a clear, logical understanding of problem-solving including Root Cause, Corrective Action, Countermeasures, Problem Solving Plans, and Action Plan development and execution.


  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence others; specially driving corrective action with large global suppliers.


  • Ability to work within a complex environment with cross-functional teams across different geographies.


  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean (Green Belt), or (Black Belt).


Our Environment

  • Up to 50% of travel may be required. Employee must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.


  • The employee is responsible to own a credit card and manage expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $150,000.00 - $206,800.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
