Full Job Description
Team performance and quota
  • Deliver the number. Own the team's quarterly and annual quota for new business and expansion revenue. Forecast accurately and flag risk early rather than late.
  • Run the operating rhythm. Establish weekly one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, and forecast calls that surface problems while there is still time to fix them.
  • Manage the funnel, not just the close. Hold the team accountable to leading indicators - qualified meetings, opportunity creation, stage progression, cycle time - so the quarter is won before the last week of it.
  • Inspect deal quality. Review discovery notes, business cases, and mutual action plans. Push back on happy-ears forecasting.

Coaching and development
  • Coach on live deals. Listen to calls, join them when it helps, and debrief with specific, usable feedback. Coach the skill, not just the outcome.
  • Build sellers, not just quarters. Create individual development plans, run skill-building sessions, and give reps a visible path to the next role.
  • Hire and onboard well. Partner with Talent Acquisition to build a bench, raise the bar with every hire, and get new reps productive fast with a structured ramp.
  • Address performance directly. Recognize strong work publicly and handle underperformance early, clearly, and fairly.

Go-to-market execution
  • Partner across functions. Work with Marketing on campaign follow-up and lead quality, with Sales Operations on territory design and compensation, and with Product and Solution Consulting on positioning and competitive response.
  • Improve the process. Own the team's sales methodology, call frameworks, objection handling, and CRM hygiene. Retire what does not work.
  • Bring the market back. Translate what your reps hear on calls into clear input for Product and Marketing - what customers are asking for, where we lose, and why.
  • Use the data. Build and use dashboards to understand conversion, productivity, and win rate. Make decisions from evidence, not anecdote.

Compliance and integrity
  • Sell the way we want to be known. Ensure the team represents our products accurately and operates within Veradigm's compliance, privacy, and HIPAA obligations. No exceptions for a deal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years in B2B sales, with at least 3 years directly managing a quota-carrying inside sales, SDR, or full-cycle sales team.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding team revenue targets across multiple consecutive periods.
  • Experience coaching sellers through consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycles - not transactional order-taking.
  • Working fluency in CRM and sales engagement tooling (Salesforce, Outreach or Gong or similar) and comfort building reporting yourself.
  • Clear, credible written and verbal communication, including with executive audiences.
  • Ability to lead a distributed team effectively - setting expectations, building trust, and maintaining accountability without proximity.

Preferred
  • Healthcare IT, health plan, revenue cycle, or life sciences sales experience.
  • Familiarity with how provider organizations, payers, or life sciences companies evaluate and buy technology, including procurement and security review.
  • Experience in a high-growth or transformation environment where the playbook was still being written.

Experience with sales enablement design, onboarding programs, or sales methodology rollout.
