POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Human Resources Manager is an experienced HRBP with people leader experience who will partner with a large population of corporate employees and leaders, supporting them with defining and executing an effective People Strategy. You will work closely with leaders to understand their objectives and translate them into actionable HR strategies that drive business success. You will provide thought-leadership and strategic-partnership to your clients, supporting them with aligning the company's most important asset, our people, with organizational objectives and direction. You will ensure that employees are given an outstanding employee experience and offered opportunities for growth and development. Simultaneously, you will play an active role in the continued sophistication of our HR programs and initiatives driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Partner with management to build and develop stronger work teams and support human capital initiatives to proactively address future challenges that deliver business results.
- Create proactive solutions to drive and facilitate change initiatives and continuous improvement projects in support of the customer group and the broader business.
- Utilize sound judgment in decision-making and when formulating recommendations to business leaders. Makes decisions from a human centric perspective, using data available from multiple platforms.
- Lead year-round talent management processes, including performance appraisals, talent calibration, development plans, succession planning, and employee experience.
- Partner with courage to ensure the right leaders are in the right role to match their skills, abilities, and aspirations.
- Acts as a coach, providing leadership development to business leaders at all levels, entry level to director and above. Listen deeply, ask powerful questions, and provide constructive feedback to build trust.
- Champion inclusion and diversity commitments. Plan, measure, evaluate and influence the employee experience and the ability to design effective interventions that enhance overall engagement and belonging.
- Analyze key HR metrics, identify areas of opportunity, and assist in developing related action plans.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence including Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, etc. to leverage expertise, systems, and processes in support of business needs.
- Work on HR related projects for the betterment of the organization through process improvement initiatives.
- Be a champion of change, culture, and the values of Republic Services.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Demonstrated HR business partner skills in Fortune 500 environment.
- Strong data analytical skills and process orientation along with proficiency in MS Office software including solid experience working with Microsoft Excel (generating and interpreting pivot tables, graphs, and V-lookups)
- Proven ability to de-construct complex issues into straight-forward concepts and present recommendations through storytelling and data visualization to successfully navigate to resolution, in an organized and methodical framework.
- Demonstrated ability to positively influence others, experience coaching leaders and employees at all levels - from individual contributors, to newly promoted managers and seasoned executives.
- Strong business sense and acumen with the ability to independently be creative in problem solving, organizational diagnosis, and solution generation.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once, manage changing priorities and embrace agility, while conveying calm and confidence
- Strong bias for action, a keen sense of urgency and the ability to drive impactful results in a matrixed organization.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and understanding of executive conciseness and comfortable in front of senior leadership and decision makers.
- Interest in personal development and keeping current in human resource best practices through external resources and a strong HR network
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources business partnership experience.
- Minimum of 2 years as a people leader
