A Brief Overview
The Senior Manager, HR Technology is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, optimization, and delivery of HR technology solutions that enable business objectives and enhance employee experience. This role partners with HR, IT, Operations, vendors, and business leaders to ensure HR systems are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational priorities. This role serves as the business product owner for key HR technology platforms, defining product vision, roadmap, priorities, and governance to maximize business value and user adoption. This role leads end-to-end implementation of new HR technologies, major system upgrades, and transformational initiatives, ensuring successful delivery, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable operational support.

What you will do

  • Lead HR Technology Projects, Programs and Implementations – Direct end-to-end implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimization projects. Oversee project plans, resources, budgets, risks, governance, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful delivery and adoption.

  • Lead HR Technology Strategy and Product Ownership – Define and execute the HR technology roadmap; serve as product owner for HR systems; prioritize enhancements, manage backlog, and align technology investments with business and HR strategies.

  • Manage HR Technology Operations and Governance – Ensure system stability, data integrity, security, compliance, release management, vendor management, and ongoing operational support across the HR technology portfolio.

  • Stakeholder Partnership and Consultation – Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and business leaders to identify opportunities, define requirements, assess solutions, and deliver technology-enabled process improvements.

  • Analytics and Continuous Improvement – Monitor KPIs, drive adoption, leverage workforce data and system metrics, and identify opportunities for process automation and improved user experience.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • UKG cloud experience

  • 7-9 years of progressive experience in HR Technology, HRIS, Human Capital Management (HCM), HR Operations, Information Technology, or a related discipline

  • 4-6 years people leadership experience, including coaching, developing and managing teams

  • 4-6 years experience serving as a Product Owner, System Owner, or Functional Lead for enterprise HR technology platforms

  • Demonstrated success leading HR technology implementations, upgrades, acquisitions, integrations, and transformation initiatives from planning through stabilization

  • Experience managing complex projects and programs, including project planning, resource management, budgeting, risk mitigation, governance, timeline management, and executive stakeholder communications.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver strategic technology initiatives on time and within budget.

  • Experience developing and managing technology roadmaps, prioritizing enhancement backlogs, and balancing strategic initiatives with operational support


Preferred

  • Data analytics or AI background

  • Experience working in large matrixed organization

  • PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Prosci, or similar project/program management experience and / or certifications

  • Strong experience partnering with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, IT, vendors, and business leaders to deliver technology-enabled solutions

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide HR technology transformations and large-scale system implementations.

  • Experience with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP, ServiceNow, or similar platforms

Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Access, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Advanced project and program management skills with the ability to lead multiple concurrent HR technology initiatives, manage competing priorities, mitigate risks, establish governance, and influence cross-functional stakeholders to successfully deliver strategic business outcomes.

  • Knowledge of HR business processes, including Core HR, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Talent Management, Learning, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and Workforce Management.

  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, SharePoint, and Teams especially).

  • Working knowledge of system integration concepts (APIs, web services, middleware, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions.

  • Ability to design and create custom reports and dashboards.
