Full Job Description
The ideal candidate will leverage business insight and professional expertise to prepare data, analysis, reports, models, and other deliverables aimed at explaining variances, forecasting future performance, allocating revenues and expenses, and addressing ad hoc requests. The candidate will be responsible for managing, creating, and improving existing Excel-based models. They will demonstrate independence and accountability in managing their responsibilities while solving problems. A proactive approach to sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and cultivating a collaborative team environment is essential. Strong communication skills are required to accurately understand reporting needs and deliver precise, timely results.

Additionally, this role will play a critical role in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) by supporting financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and providing comprehensive pre- and post-merger integration support to drive strategic growth.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the full spectrum of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes from initiation to completion
  2. Develop and maintain robust financial models to project future performance, assess risk, and support strategic initiatives
  3. Manage, mentor, and develop both onshore and offshore FP&A teams, ensuring alignment, effective communication, and knowledge sharing across locations
  4. Continuously improve FP&A processes, systems, controls, and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  5. Establish strong, controlled processes to ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data
  6. Evaluate and price new business opportunities, supporting executives with financial models, profitability analysis, and risk assessment
  7. Support the Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) asset valuation model and analysis, including forecasting future cash flows, assessing market and interest rate impacts, and collaborating with third-party vendors for valuations and market insights
  8. Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) initiatives, including financial due diligence, valuation modeling, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance analysis
  9. Collaborate with leadership and external advisors to assess acquisition targets, perform financial analysis, and support decision-making throughout the M&A lifecycle
  10. Partner with business leaders to evaluate revenue and expense opportunities, cost control strategies, and support new business decisions
  11. Prepare and present monthly management reporting, variance analyses, and executive dashboards that clearly communicate financial performance and trends
  12. Enhance existing documentation and create clear, step-by-step knowledge guides process and documentation to support knowledge transfer, consistency
  13. Manage competing priorities and adapt to a changing work environment

Experience and Education Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or other closely-related field
  2. 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with 5+ years in leadership roles--preferably within mortgage services, banking, or financial services
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with peers, management, outside departments, and business partners
  4. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  5. Exhibit strong organizational skills with the ability to balance workloads, manage projects, meet competing deadlines, and complete all assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
  6. Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills
  7. Proficient with Microsoft Office products with emphasis in Excel
  8. Experience with SQL and intermediate query writing/manipulation skills (preferred)
