The
COS Manager is responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives across both CCM business units and Operations & Supply Chain. This highly visible role partners with senior leaders, plant management teams, and local continuous improvement resources to drive operational excellence, employee engagement, safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. The position requires approximately 50% travel to CCM locations throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and facilitate the CCM Continuous Operating System (COS) journey by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and servant leadership.
- Partner with leadership teams to align improvement initiatives with strategic objectives and Vision 2030 goals.
- Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping, Business Process Mapping, and Gap Analysis.
- Lead Kaizen events and support the implementation of continuous improvement tools such as 5S, TPM, MDI, SQDC, Policy Deployment, and Idea Systems.
- Develop and deliver training programs while coaching leaders and employees on continuous improvement principles, problem-solving techniques, and operational excellence practices.
- Establish project metrics, monitor results, and ensure sustainable improvements through regular reviews and reporting.
- Promote best-practice sharing across locations and support advancement of COS Framework and Policy Deployment maturity.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Lean enterprise environment (Master's degree with 6+ years of experience may be considered equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, strategy deployment, manufacturing operations, and business process improvement.
- Proven experience facilitating Kaizen events and implementing Lean tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, coaching, and leadership skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
- Lean Champion Certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
