HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACTVarsity Spirit is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to lead Varsity Spirit's growing media & content initiatives, including but not limited to new media/entertainment opportunities, website and streaming platforms, social media and mobile apps. This person will have a deep background in the cheer and/or dance space, be a strategic thinker poised to leverage our various external channels to position Varsity Spirit positively in coordination with broader marketing efforts, as well as experience showcasing the organizations' innovations and advancements through proactive storytelling in owned and earned channels.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Lead Varsity Spirit's content and social media strategy, execution, monitoring and response
- (FB, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, varsity.com, Varsity TV)
- Design & direct the Influencer Program Strategy, budget and execution - includes influencer events, capsule collections, collaboration with retail team, content calendar and on-site meet-and greets
- Direct, develop and execute comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies in collaboration with rest of Marketing team
- Develop and lead the comprehensive marketing strategy for PCL, driving ticket sales, merchandise revenue, and content performance across all channels.
- Provide strategic oversight of apparel marketing, content, and social media initiatives; partner directly with the apparel team to grow brand presence, expand audience reach, and increase engagement for both VSF and VASF accounts.
- Oversee the development and execution of all content supporting paid media campaigns across the divisions, ensuring alignment with brand standards, revenue goals, and performance metrics.
- Ensure campaigns are in line with Varsity Spirit mission, vision and company initiatives
- Partner with School & All Star Marketing Leads on content development for various channels (website, social media, Varsity TV, etc.)
- Partner with the department's creative and digital teams to ensure all multimedia and graphics align with the brand voice and messaging.
- Oversee editorial calendars and content workflows to ensure timely execution of content.
- Expand Varsity Spirit's presence across both traditional and emerging media channels
- Advise content strategy for Varsity TV in partnership with FloSports
- Manage entertainment media strategy, e.g. work with media with access license agreements, product placement, choreography
- Represent VS in branding work -- Refine the core message and narrative of Varsity Spirit: Drive positive stories, create consistency in communications, develop strategies that guide important and quick decisions
- Amplify positive news and stories by creating releases surrounding Varsity Spirit's camps, competitions, apparel and special events
- Champion Varsity Spirit Cares, Varsity Spirit's community and social engagement campaign
- Represent Varsity Spirit as the on-site media contact for events
- Execute customer communications strategies via email and messaging on social media
- Work closely with communications team to align external communications with internal messaging
- Analyze all media coverage to ensure consistency of a positive sentiment of the organization
- Organize and promote events that elevate Varsity Brands' PR in a positive light: Varsity Brands School Spirit Awards

- This job operates in a professional office and event environment.
- In the office, this is largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PCs, laptop, and telephone will be required.
- During events, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (five hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message, and email is required. The ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and manipulate equipment that is a minimum of 30 lbs. is required.
QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:- Well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate and execute multiple tasks in a lean, fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Team player with cross-functional communication skills - this person will interact with multiple facets of the organization and drive results through collaboration.
- A background in cheerleading or dance preferred
- Creativity, passion, integrity and energy
Education & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in Marketing, Communications or related field experience
- Experience in direct management of individuals preferred
- Experience using social media management tools and other project management tools
- Crisis communications or consumer affairs experience a plus
