Full Job Description
Job Description:

You Are

A transportation industry expert, strategic relationship builder, and business leader with deep expertise across parcel, courier, LTL, FTL, international, cross-border, and cargo transportation markets.

You understand that great partnerships are built, not simply negotiated. You excel at identifying opportunities where carriers, technology providers, and logistics organizations can create mutual value, unlock growth, and deliver differentiated solutions. Through strong industry relationships and market insight, you consistently identify emerging carriers, innovative business models, and strategic opportunities ahead of the market.

You are equally comfortable negotiating complex commercial agreements, building executive-level relationships, evaluating transportation economics, and partnering internally to bring new network capabilities to life. You thrive in fast-paced environments where success requires strategic thinking, commercial creativity, operational expertise, and decisive execution.

As a key external representative of Pitney Bowes, you will help shape the future of our carrier ecosystem, drive strategic growth, and expand the partnerships that power our customer solutions through our shipping products and platforms.

You Will
  • Develop and execute the carrier growth strategy across parcel, courier, LTL, full truckload, international, cross-border, and cargo transportation markets, expanding the carrier network and capabilities available through Pitney Bowes shipping products and platforms.
  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard new carrier partners, creating innovative commercial models and mutually beneficial relationships that drive customer value and business growth.
  • Identify emerging carriers, transportation technologies, and market opportunities that strengthen network coverage, service offerings, and competitive differentiation.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Experience teams to bring new carrier partnerships from concept through launch, integration, and scale.
  • Build and maintain executive relationships across carriers, logistics providers, and strategic partners, serving as the primary point of engagement for key partnerships.
  • Lead strategic commercial negotiations and carrier performance reviews to ensure long-term partnership success and alignment.
  • Influence company strategy through data-driven recommendations, market intelligence, transportation economics, and deep expertise in carrier and network design.

Your Background
  • 10+ years of experience in carrier partnerships, transportation strategy, logistics sourcing, business development, transportation procurement, or related leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise across parcel, courier, regional delivery, LTL, full truckload, international shipping, cross-border logistics, and air/ocean cargo transportation.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, negotiating, and launching strategic transportation partnerships.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex, high-value commercial agreements.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience within large-scale transportation, ecommerce, marketplace, logistics, supply chain, or technology organizations.
  • Experience building transportation networks and launching new carrier programs.
  • Strong understanding of transportation technology, shipping platforms, and carrier integration ecosystems.
