Full Job Description
A Senior Training Manager in the Banking Operations department plays a pivotal role in shaping an organization's talent landscape. Success in this strategic position requires a multifaceted skill set that blends leadership, instructional expertise, business acumen, and robust project management capabilities. Professionals in this role are architects of a continuous learning culture, driving employee growth and aligning development initiatives with overarching business objectives. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s). What you have Required: • 3+ years expereince applied knowledge in principles of how adults learn and the ability to oversee the design and development of engaging and effective learning experiences. This includes knowledge of various instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and learning modalities (e-learning, instructor-led training, and blended learning). • Familiarity with various project management frameworks, such as Agile (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and traditional Waterfall models, and the ability to select and apply the most appropriate methodology for different types of L&D projects. Certifications such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly valued. • Establishing clear communication channels with project teams and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates, and creating comprehensive reports to track project performance against key milestones and objectives. • Advanced technical skills including MS Office, and Learning Management Systems (Articulate, Workday Learning, SharePoint) • Defining clear project goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for L&D initiatives. This includes creating detailed project plans and gaining stakeholder alignment from the outset. • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and outcomes. This requires proactive thinking and problem-solving skills. • 3+ years expereince of instructional content design, curriculum development, measurement, and reporting • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to prioritize, sequence, and execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously • Strong analytical skills with emphasis on root/cause analysis and process improvement application • Developing and implementing coaching and mentoring programs to foster individual and team growth. A senior L&D manager should also possess strong personal coaching skills to guide and develop their own team and other leaders within the organization. • Acting as an internal consultant to diagnose performance problems and recommend appropriate learning and non-learning solutions to improve individual and organizational performance. Preferred: • Extensive experience delivering training on processes supported within the brokerage/financial services industry • The ability to effectively facilitate training sessions and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences, from new hires to senior executives. This includes creating an inclusive and interactive learning environment. Minimum 3+ years’ experience. • Familiarity with Project management tools and AI tools and agents, power automate/power apps, Microsoft planner, copilot, etc. In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
