Full Job Description
1 Job Overview
ColourPop is looking for a Sr. Manager, Brand Partnerships, Collabs & Licensing to spearhead our licensing and collaboration efforts and drive brand growth through strategic partnerships. This role owns the licensing strategy end-to-end - building the multi-year pipeline, leading negotiations, structuring deals, and managing the financial performance of every partnership. What sets this role apart is the lens: licensing here is a marketing and brand-building discipline. Working in close partnership with the VP of Marketing, you'll pursue deals that build brand equity, drive cultural relevance, and bring in new customers - not licensing for licensing's sake. You'll bring strong negotiation skills, a sharp read on market and cultural trends, and the ability to turn partnership opportunities into successful, revenue-generating collections that show up in-market with real marketing behind them.

2 What You Will Do
Licensing Strategy & Pipeline
  • Lead the licensing and collaboration strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business and marketing goals, and map out a 2-5 year pipeline
  • Develop and execute long-term licensing strategies that align with the company's vision, brand equity goals, and market trends
  • Conduct regular market analyses to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks
  • Partner with the VP of Marketing to identify partner and IP opportunities that build brand equity, drive cultural relevance, and fuel new-customer acquisition
Deal-Making & Negotiation
  • Lead negotiations with potential licensing partners, ensuring favorable terms for the company
  • Draft and review licensing contracts to ensure compliance with legal and business standards
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure proper risk management and financial structure for licensing deals
  • Manage day-to-day communications with partners to resolve issues, manage timelines, and ensure compliance
Business & Financial Management
  • Determine SKU mix, pricing, and overall size opportunity for all collections
  • Monitor the financial performance of licensing deals and partnerships, including sales performance and royalty revenue
  • Manage all E&O inventory and provide product lifecycle recommendations
  • Manage Off-Price channel negotiations and relationships for product liquidation
  • Explore and evaluate additional channels of growth, including internal and retail expansion
Brand, Marketing & Collection Execution
  • Ensure every licensed collection aligns to the overall brand vision and builds brand equity, in collaboration with the VP of Marketing
  • Partner with marketing channel owners to build out GTM strategy and ensure all marketing follows partner guidelines
  • Work closely with product development on artwork, shade selection, and names, and ensure approvals are tracking to hit key dates
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure alignment with brand vision and product quality
  • Partner with account managers to sell in collaborations to retail channels
3 Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 5-7 years in licensing, partnerships, or business development, with a proven track record managing cross-functional teams and executing successful licensing strategies; Beauty experience preferred
  • A commercial deal-maker with a marketing sensibility - you understand how a licensing deal builds (or dilutes) brand equity, and you structure toward the former
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Deep understanding of market trends, cultural shifts, emerging opportunities, and risks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Experience working with legal, finance, product development, and marketing teams
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor and report on financial performance
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • On-site role based in Sherman Oaks, CA
