THE WORK
• Lead and manage the performance of salary and hourly manufacturing employees responsible for the manufacture and assembly of Aerostructures components.
• Deliver consistent communication to the facility salary and hourly workforce to maintain a safe workplace & enforce EH&S regulations within the operation.
• Identify, lead, foster and maintain LEAN principles in the manufacture of production and development Aerostructures components and assemblies.
• Coordinate daily with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Management and Production Control support members on a continuous basis to ensure required support is assigned to maintain production flow in support of on-time, on budget defect free deliverables.
• Coach and mentor employees in key positions to ensure that objectives are being met and ideas are being fostered throughout the shop.
• Ensure that a positive employee relations position is maintained promoting teamwork and cooperation, and the Company's management principles, policies, and programs are consistently practiced and work closely with Industrial Relationships support staff.
• Identify facility / capital improvements needs and support completion of projects.
WHO WE ARE
The Sikorsky Aerostructures Product Center is responsible for the manufacture, procurement and assembly of helicopter airframe structures. The Product Center has an immediate opening for an Operations Senior Manager at our Bridgeport, CT facility where sub-assembly, major assembly and major component joining activities are conducted in support of UH/HH-60M, HH-60W and CH-53K airframe structures, airframe spares and or major airframe modifications.
WHO YOU ARE
This position reports directly to the Product Center General Manager and is responsible for providing leadership and managing all aspects of the Bridgeport, CT facility operations including managing approximately 10 non-represented salary and 185 represented hourly employees. Primary responsibilities include: leading all daily manufacturing operations activities, proactively developing and implementing effective process improvements, coordinating daily requirements for Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Management, Quality and Material Logistics support, development of methods, metrics and organizational goals to achieve on-time, on budget, defect free delivery of airframe structures and associated components.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of management and supervisory experience with 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace, related disciplines or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience will be considered.
Desired skills
* B.S./BA in an engineering, operations, or a technical preferred
* MS / MBA with an Operations concentration (preferred)
• Aerospace & Defense Industry experience (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, Black Belt or Green Belt (preferred)
• The candidate should also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong understanding of Collective Bargaining and leading a represented workforce
• Proven track record of interpersonal skills focused on team building
• Excellent analytical skills / thinking
• Excellent presentation skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $124,900 - $220,225. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $143,600 - $248,975. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
