Responsibilities

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

This role supports the development and operation of New Glenn’s Gen 2second stage (Quattro),which is a 4-engine evolutionofthe Gen 1 GS2 in operation today.This stagewill be a high-rate and low-cost solutionwhich both defines and transforms the future capability ofNew Glenn.

As theQuattroStage Senior Manager, you will reportdirectlyto theQuattro ProgramSenior Directorandmanage the team which owns thestageend-itemdeliverable forstagefinal integration,hotfireandintegration to thelaunch vehicle.You willoversee the product structure which defines the end itemandensure alignmentacross all modules. You will collaborate with themodule leads to ensure their deliverables align with the production value stream, including the first article production schedule milestonesandconfiguration.You will own all hardwaredesign and analysisrequiredfor final integration, stage transportationandhotfiretesting.

This position will directlyimpactthe history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team which owns the Quattro stage end itemacross stage final integration, transportation,hotfire, and vehicle final integration.This includesdesign and analysis of any hardwarerequiredfor those major production steps or test activities.

  • Oversee the Quattro product structure to ensure that the structure is aligned and executable against ourproduction plan.

  • Reportusing a standard business rhythm on performance, cost,scheduleand risk associated with the Quattro stage development, to include weekly progress reports and monthly program reviewsusing a standard set of technical performance measures which are tracked andmaintainedby your team.

  • Drive workforce planning strategies to improve laborutilizationfactors and aid in the program transition from development to production including working with production organizations to vet production labor assumptions

  • Work with procurement and program leadership to drive procurement execution strategies that reduce cost and improve delivery performance

  • Work with operations to assess/drive production rate increase readiness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering or technical degree.

  • 5+years of Project Management experience.

  • Highly organized leader with excellent technical written and verbal communication skills with proventrack recordof resourcefulness, strong business acumen, and bias for action frompreviousassignments.

  • Direct experience with launch vehicle or space system integration and testing, including experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle (design, analysis, manufacturing, integration, and test).

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, multifaceted work environment and ability to travel in support of the program, customer, and supplier activities.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Provenengineering managementtrack recordin aproduct-focusedorganizationwith 10+ direct reports.

  • Experience leading new product introduction (NPI) initiatives for large-scale products.

  • Experience with Primavera (P6), MS Project, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL, MySQL, Power Query, Power Pivot.

  • Strong business management competence and experience leading large, geographically dispersed programs with large subcontractors.


Base Pay Range for:

CO applicants is $169,008.00 - $236,611.20 WA applicants is $183,807.00 - $257,328.75
