POSITION OVERVIEW
Kelvion Inc., a leading global and domestic heat exchanger manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager to lead its Maintenance Team. This role supports a safe, sanitary, and healthy workplace; oversees all internal and external maintenance activities and resources; and develops short- and long-term strategies for the facility, machinery, and equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facility Management: Control Buildings and Grounds operating costs for preventive maintenance, repairs, and service contracts. Coordinate employee and contractor work within approved budgets and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Maintenance Department Management: Control operating costs and oversee four-shift work priorities, assignments, performance reviews, personnel matters, and labor-hour authorization. Manage preventive maintenance, repairs, service contracts, and employee and contractor work within planned budgets.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facilities, equipment, and machinery to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
- Create work plans that improve plant equipment performance and reliability.
- Lead, train, and develop maintenance team members in the assigned area or shift.
- Apply structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis to resolve or reduce maintenance issues.
- Use Lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate unnecessary cost and waste.
- Identify, implement, and document maintenance and reliability best practices.
- Maximize plant efficiency while maintaining safety, quality, and cost standards.
- Manage Cost Centers 1065 and 1095 within approved budgets.
- Supervise maintenance personnel to maximize productivity and control labor costs.
- Maintain a safe workplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Communicate effectively and solve problems.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate others and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- At least 8-10 years of experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience in developing policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of developing and managing cost-center and project budgets.
- Ability to work in a shop environment.
- Perform effectively under significant job-related pressure.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in a maintenance/facility role.
- At least 8-10 years of facility or maintenance supervision experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical technical aptitude.
- At least five years of experience with fluid-power systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics, electrical controls, and mechanical devices.
- Demonstrated sound decision-making skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, drawing software, and internet tools.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and welding drawings and understand applicable code requirements.
