DESCRIPTIONUnder the direct supervision of a registered nurse in La Jolla Plastic Surgery, the LVN performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. The primary focus of this position is pre-operative patient education for the full range of Plastic Surgery patients, including gender affirming, breast cancer, other breast procedures, head and neck cancer, hand trauma, and general reconstructive cases.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
- Minimum two (2) years of LVN experience to be considered for a Sr. level LVN.
- Thorough knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
- Proven ability to take initiative, prioritize critical demands and work in a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Plastic surgery experience.
- POCT
- EPIC or EMR experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $79,532 - $104,922 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $38.09 - $50.25
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
