Sr. Lead Associate - Actuarial

Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced and professional Actuarial Analyst to join our team. As the Actuarial Analyst, you will assist more senior team members on the project tasks, which may include communications with the client. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will generate timely quality work product that requires data preparation based on the project work plan. You will focus on developing functional/technical, problem-solving, & time management skills, being effective team members and being client centric. You will also be responsible for achieving specific productivity and billing metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of actuarial tasks, including pricing, reserving, financial reporting, cash flow testing, and other actuarial modeling activities.
  • Perform detailed actuarial analysis and develop creative solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models to assess the financial implications of life insurance and annuity products.
  • Manage client engagement projects, ensuring all deliverables are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client projects, maintaining strong relationships and providing ongoing support of their unique needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize actuarial software and tools to perform detailed analyses and develop accurate models.
  • Work closely with project team members to ensure the technical accuracy and integrity of analyses, templates, and exhibits.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, underwriting, and product development, to achieve client objectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and/or possess a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Life & Health insurance actuarial work and Moody's Axis.
  • Progress towards actuarial credentials (SOA, etc.)
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and of the highest quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
