Sr. Java DeveloperAbout the roleAs a Sr. Java Developer, you will make an impact by leading a team to design, develop and deliver enterprise Java applications that power our client's projects end to end. You will be a valued member of the Java engineering team and work collaboratively with project leadership, cross-functional delivery teams, and clients.

In this role, you will- Lead and drive the engineering team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard of quality.
- Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications using Java and related technologies.
- Support and install software applications and operating systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.
- Apply your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing complex tasks with creativity and latitude.

What you must have to be considered- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and building Microservices.
- Working experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Kafka for event streaming and messaging.
These will help you succeed- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Ability to plan and accomplish goals independently with sound judgment.
- Experience delivering complex projects across the full software development lifecycle.
- Flexibility to work during offshore overlapping hours.

October 2 nd , 2026.Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $ 68,00,000 to $ 114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
