Join Human Interest as a Senior IT Systems Specialist to drive our operational scaling through creative automation and intelligent solutions. You will be the architect responsible for building and maintaining robust systems that support our rapidly growing internal user base. This role is key to managing and deploying internal IT services, including asset management and compliance reporting.
What you get to do every day
• Diagnose, investigate and resolve technical incidents and problems. This role is the primary point of escalation for our IT Support team
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and procurement for internally used applications
• Document support tasks and create processes when needed in order to keep the IT team on the same page with how things are done, and that processes can be repeated or trained to others
• Architect systems, user flows and solutions as needs arise.
What you bring to the role
• 3-5 years of professional software development experience
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Go) for managing Mac OS environments, including deployment, troubleshooting, and security
• Experience leveraging AI and automation for IT system optimization
• Experience developing against or administering MDM or RMM tools (e.g. Essentials, Workspace ONE, Kandji/Iru, Jamf, Intune)
• Interest in or direct experience working with laptop hardware and systems (Mac preferred)
• Experience supporting identity management systems (i.e. Okta, Onelogin, Entra)
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities
• Experience with compliance frameworks and policies is a plus
• Multimedia content creation experience is a plus
Where you will work
• Located in our San Francisco, CA office two to three days a week onsite with the remaining days being remote
• This is a full time position 40 hours a week

Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the U.S. The base salary for this position spans $133,000 - $161,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximumin our highest geographic region. The salary we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the U.S., their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall total rewards package. Depending on the position, additional compensation components such as bonuses, commissions, and equity may be offered.
