Job Title: Sr. IT Client Systems Engineer

Location: Baltimore, MD

Reports to: Sr Manager, IT Client Services

Position Summary:

The Senior IT Client Systems Engineer manages and supports endpoint technologies, workplace applications, and device management platforms across the organization. This role serves as the technical lead for desktop and mobile computing environments, software deployment, endpoint management, and end-user technology services. Working closely with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Business Systems, and Client Services teams, the position ensures technology platforms remain secure, reliable, and scalable while delivering exceptional employee technology experience. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with a variety of industry-standard tools with a strong understanding of IT systems, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset. The candidate will also assist with escalated issue resolution by providing hands-on support to end users as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Administer and optimize endpoint management platforms and device lifecycle operations across Windows, macOS, iOS, and mobile environments, including deployment, provisioning, patching, and refresh activities.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security, compliance, and configuration standards while ensuring reliable software delivery, operating system management, and device governance.
  • Support, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and workplace technologies, including software packaging, updates, licensing, and user enablement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and serve as a technical resource for systems integration, configuration management, and technology adoption across the organization.
  • Administer and support identity, access, and authentication platforms, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, and Single Sign-On (SSO), while ensuring secure user access throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Provide advanced technical support, incident resolution, and escalation management for client services technologies while maintaining documentation and operational procedures.
  • Develop automation, process improvements, and strategic planning initiatives to enhance system reliability, operational efficiency, and long-term technology capabilities.
  • Work with third-party vendors under guidance to support integrations, issue resolution, and service delivery.
  • Provide helpdesk coverage and respond to escalated user issues as required, including participation in scheduled after-hours on-call support.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices to continuously develop skills and improve the organization's client systems and security posture.
  • Provide IT Manager on Duty coverage, both on-site and remote on-call, on a rotating, shared basis to cover defined hours of operation that include events and games.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7+ years of experience in managing desktops and/or mobile devices.
  • Microsoft Certifications is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Mac operating systems.
  • Experience managing desktop imaging platforms.
  • Experience managing Mac environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to spot patterns and trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in documentation and process development.
  • Understanding of how IT and security can enable business operations.
  • Technical skillset to configure security tools and systems.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts.
  • Self-motivation and accountability for ensuring service levels are achieved/exceeded.
  • Flexible schedule with some travel required.

Work Environment:
  • This is an on-site role with requirements to be present during some home games and other key events.
  • Some lifting of IT equipment and hands-on troubleshooting in various ballpark locations is required.
