Full Job Description
Job Purpose: The Sr. Implementation Manager is responsible for the execution of different projects, from large-scale Department of Corrections (DOC) to smaller scale (counties). This role ensures timelines are met and within budget. Coordinates and schedules resources, requisitions, shipping/delivery, telecom provisioning, quality management, and other essential project management duties.

Essential Duties:
  • Develop and direct Sr. level program strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Plan and allocate cross-project resources to ensure needs and expectations are aligned
  • Monitor and review programming to ensure that schedules are met, guidelines are adhered to, and performances are of adequate quality.
  • Lead and motivate Sr project teams to achieve program and project objectives through direct and indirect supervision of resources.
  • Track and monitor project and project team performance within assigned programs
  • Responsible for leading, planning, and defining the project scope to accomplish its goals and/or produce the products required within constraints such as time, cost, and agreed quality standards
  • Overseeing coordination of personnel and resources required to complete projects
  • Provides leadership, strategically managing risk, monitoring finances, and making sure that each phase of the project starts and ends on schedule
  • Perform Communication Management. Create/implement project organization and communication plans that enable the project team to effectively work together to meet project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain professional customer relationships and manage expectations with respect to live dates and other key timelines
  • Act as the primary customer contact and Operations representative for all implementation projects
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
  • Create and use Gantt charts, spreadsheets, or other appropriate tools to manage time and tasks
  • Manage multiple implementation tasks with other internal groups to ensure project completion in accordance with customer requirements
  • Manage project budgets
  • Identify, analyze, and manage potential risks; and review how risks may impact scope, schedule, quality, and cost
  • Identify where and when management of issues and risks, or accommodating altered requirements, will involve extra resources or time, and where efficiencies can be made
  • Order all required materials for software and/or hardware installations
  • Lead and facilitate the collaboration with Telecom Provisioning to deliver voice and data transport to customer facilities
  • Plan resources and develop schedules for Field Technician visits to facilities for hardware and transport installations
  • Continuously monitor and present reports defining project progress and problem solutions internally and externally
  • Facilitate daily/weekly/monthly conference calls to discuss project progress to stakeholders
  • Provide Meeting Agenda(s) & Meeting Minutes for every facilitated conference call.
  • Create and customize project plans for RFPs (Request for Proposal) for new and existing businesses
  • Ability to learn the company's products and features to comprehend technical discussions with specialists/technicians, and be able to determine what is reasonable or possible.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability and experience in managing project budgets and timelines while ensuring quality.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, communication, analytical, problem-solving skills, and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively employ both short term and long-term project planning skills
  • Ability to manage up to 40-50 projects simultaneously
  • Comprehend contract language, requirements, and stipulations
  • Solid working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Project
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • Plans, aligns, and communicates effectively.
  • Ensures accountability.
  • Business insight that optimizes work processes

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 10 + years of experience in Telecommunications or Project Management
  • Experience leading exempt-level team
  • Must be able to travel 15%

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or five years' equivalent experience
  • PMP and/or ITIL Certified
  • 7+ years of proven experience in project management, leading team leaders through a variety of large and small project plans
  • 5+ years' proven experience in the Telecom industry, VoIP infrastructure, and/or related industry experience
  • Proven experience in leading the delivery of unique product service or results
  • Experience managing projects via Workfront
  • Six Sigma certification(s)

Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
  • Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
