Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner - Employee Relations for a direct hire, full-time opportunity in Palmdale, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced HRBP who thrives in a corporate environment and brings deep expertise in employee relations, performance management, employment law, leadership coaching, compensation, and organizational development.

The Senior HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees, helping create a fair, compliant, and high-performing workplace. Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to leaders and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and workplace issues.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, progressive documentation, policy interpretation, and compliance with California and Federal employment laws.
- Support employee engagement, retention, career development, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Facilitate performance management training, performance review processes, talent development sessions, and HR training for assigned business groups.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and leadership on interviewing, candidate selection, compensation reviews, salary analysis, merit, bonus, and out-of-cycle compensation processes.
- Analyze HR data, exit interview trends, and workforce metrics using Excel tools such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP, charts, and reports to recommend actionable solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $130,000 to $140,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct hire, full-time.
- Work Arrangement: 100% onsite in Palmdale, CA.
- Schedule: 5/40 schedule.
- Travel and extended hours may be required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage complex employee relations matters and advise leaders on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and progressive discipline.
- Partner with business leaders on performance management, employee engagement, retention, compensation, and organizational development initiatives.
- Develop HR reports, analyze employee data, and recommend workforce solutions using Microsoft Excel and HR analytics.
- Deliver HR training, performance review support, and leadership development programs for assigned business groups.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Training, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a corporate environment.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HRBP, Employee Relations Manager, or similar role.
- Strong employee relations experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of California and Federal employment laws.
- Experience advising managers, business leaders, and senior leadership on complex employee and performance-related matters.
- Experience with performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, progressive discipline, documentation, and HR best practices.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, charts, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgment.
- Candidates must have significant HRBP or Employee Relations experience.
- Candidates from a retail-only background will not be considered.
- Generalist-only candidates without strong Employee Relations or HRBP experience will not be considered.
- Substantial experience working within a corporate HR environment is required.
