Responsibilities

  • Perform and validate interpretation of well/seismic data, including quantitative aspects for reservoir characterization.
  • Ensure accuracy in all results produced.
  • Define and integrate qualitative and quantitative results from specialty studies.
  • Prepare and monitor drilling operations, conducting well result post-mortems and updating databases.

Activities:

  • Generate and validate the definition of prospectivity and resources in target contexts.
  • Contribute to basin synthesis and the generation/maturation of prospects and clearly define all the uncertainties.
  • Validate the data (well and/or seismic) used for the study/synthesis.
  • Perform and validate the interpretation of well and/or seismic data, including quantitative interpretation for reservoir and fluid characterisation.
  • Ensure that results are accurate.
  • Define, coordinate, and integrate all the qualitative and quantitative results of specialty studies.
  • Prepare and monitor drilling operations.
  • Carry out/validate well result post-mortems, updating results and databases.
  • Guarantee the capitalization of regional knowledge.

Candidate Profile

Experience:
  • 10+ years' experience in geophysics and interpretation of subsurface data

Education:
  • Master's degree or higher in Geophysics, Geology, or a related field with a focus on geophysics.

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of the Exploration disciplines and related competencies.
  • Expertise in geophysical software and tools.
  • Seismic interpretation.
  • Quantitative seismic interpretation (AVO and rock physics assessments).
  • Knowledge of data processing.
  • Modeling expertise.
  • Analytical skills sufficient to analyze complex data sets.
  • Strong communication skills
