Glaukos - Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

Join a highly visible leadership role at the intersection of SEC reporting, technical accounting, and strategic business initiatives. Based out of the corporate office in Aliso Viejo, CA, this hybrid opportunity offers broad exposure across Finance and executive leadership while helping shape scalable reporting processes.

What Will You Do?

Financial Reporting
  • Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, earnings disclosures, MD&A, and financial statement footnotes
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal accounting policies
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, FP&A, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Tax to support accurate and consistent external reporting
  • Support quarterly earnings processes, audit deliverables, and equity administration activities

Technical Accounting
  • Serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert across complex accounting areas including ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 842, ASC 805, debt, equity, and other non-routine transactions
  • Research, interpret, and document accounting guidance and technical accounting conclusions
  • Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos, policies, and procedures
  • Evaluate and implement new accounting standards and assess impact to financial statements and disclosures

Audit, SOX & Controls
  • Act as a primary liaison with external auditors on financial reporting and technical accounting matters
  • Support SOX 404 compliance activities, including internal controls documentation and reporting-related evaluations
  • Ensure alignment between technical accounting positions, internal reporting, and external disclosures

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to accounting team members
  • Partner cross-functionally on strategic initiatives including M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration
  • Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and compliance

How Will You Get Here?
  • 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting and public-company experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • Strong technical accounting expertise with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Proven experience preparing SEC filings and partnering with external auditors
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions, complex equity arrangements, and regulated industries preferred
  • Prior leadership or people management experience preferred
