Full Job Description
The Senior Financial/Cost Analyst will support the North America operations including our manufacturing facility in Sandpoint Idaho. Provide in-depth cost analytics to assist leadership in growing the business. In addition to supporting business analytics and reporting needs the Analyst will also be responsible for working cross functionally with all departments to enable data driven decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in month-end closing, preparing periodic reporting schedules and disclosures for monthly, quarterly, and year-end review and audit processes.
  • Analyze, research, and help to resolve issues with subledger transactional data for proper coding and posting to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to source data and research discrepancies through to timely resolution of financial statements ensuring costs are allocated in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Provides analysis, research and report general ledger account budget to actual variances.
  • Establishes and maintains cost information for use in 1) establishing standard costs; 2) valuing inventory; and 3) measuring profitability and waste.
  • Assists in preparing monthly forecast and annual budget.
  • Assists with annual physical inventory, cycle count audits, approvals, and reporting to Operations and Financial management.
  • Assist in identifying processes and internal controls improvements and work with management to develop and implement solutions.
  • Recommends improvements to systems and process to better provide cost information to meet organizational objectives.
  • Trains and explains cost accounting policies and procedures to manufacturing managers and personnel.

Requirements

Qualifications/ Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business degree is required.
    • 3 plus years of industry experience preferred.
    • Proficient in Excel and MS Office

Preferred skills:
    • Experience with Netsuite, a plus.
    • Must have excellent analytical skills, with very strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
    • Proven ability to set and meet ambitious deadlines, handle numerous multifaceted financial matters, and see projects through to conclusion.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
