Job Summary:
Supports the coordination and execution of moderately complex field engineering activities to ensure technical solutions align with project goals and quality standards. Facilitates collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize construction processes. Enhances project outcomes by applying comprehensive engineering knowledge and proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency. Advances continuous improvement by evaluating field practices and recommending enhancements to drive operational excellence. Influences field engineering leading practices by collaborating across project teams and providing guidance to peers and less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports moderately complex technical review and implementation of engineering plans, ensuring alignment with project specifications and quality expectations.
Coordinates with project managers, field staff, self-perform team, superintendents and subcontractors to resolve moderately complex technical issues and maintain project momentum.
Conducts detailed site inspections and assessments independently, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Supports the preparation and validation of technical documentation, including daily progress reports, and as-built records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Drives process improvements by analyzing general field operations and recommending innovative methods or technologies to enhance efficiency and quality, including prefabrication opportunities.
Communicates technical updates and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
Supports less experienced team members in resolving moderately complex field engineering challenges and provides technical expertise on engineering standards and leading practices.
Education Qualifications:
Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
4 - 6 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses:
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification within 6 months of hire required.
First Aid and CPR certification required.
ASHE, CHC, or relevant market certification preferred.
