Meet the team:

The Federal Clinical Educator plays a critical role in that mission by partnering with our Federal Sales Team to bring evidence-based clinical education and support to Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) healthcare systems. This is more than a traditional educator role. You'll serve as a trusted clinical expert, strategic partner, and advocate for innovative diabetes technology, helping providers, healthcare teams, and patients understand and utilize Dexcom solutions to improve outcomes.

  • You will deliver clinical education and evidence-based guidance that improves outcomes for Veterans, active-duty military members, and their families through innovative diabetes technology.
  • You will serve as a trusted clinical partner within the VA and DoD healthcare systems, helping drive adoption, utilization, and the future of diabetes care across federal accounts.


What makes you successful:
  • You hold a current CDCES or PharmD credential, with deep expertise in diabetes management, glucose interpretation, and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology.
  • You partner effectively with Federal Business Managers to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans that drive adoption, utilization, and sales growth across VA and DoD accounts.
  • You educate providers, healthcare staff, and patients by translating complex clinical concepts into clear, actionable information that supports improved patient outcomes.
  • You build trusted relationships with key decision makers, including providers, pharmacy leaders, administrators, contracting stakeholders, and other Federal healthcare influencers.
  • You deliver engaging and customized presentations to both internal and external audiences, leveraging clinical evidence and data to support business objectives and customer needs.
  • You identify business opportunities and provide consultative support that influences customer decision-making and advances Federal sales initiatives.
  • You bring strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Training, Regulatory Affairs, and other home office partners.
  • Your ability to gather and communicate marketplace insights helps inform business strategy, customer engagement approaches, and commercial opportunities.
  • You maintain a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities while supporting extensive travel requirements of up to 75%.
  • You have experience working within Federal healthcare systems, including the Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) environments. (Preferred)
  • You bring prior Federal healthcare sales experience and an understanding of government healthcare policies, processes, and stakeholder dynamics. (Preferred) Your military experience or familiarity with military healthcare systems enables you to connect effectively with Federal customers and stakeholders.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree an a minimum of 8 - 12 years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.


Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
