About the Role:

As a CBRE Sr Facilities Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

What You'll Do:

  • Will Coordinate and manage the site daily activities at 4 sites - Home office in Elgin, 1 in Winnetka, 1 in Downtown Chicago 1 in Milwaukie, WI.
  • Local Travel approximately 50 - 60 % (Mileage reimbursement if you choose to use your own vehicle or a rental car can be expensed)
  • Will create and manage the budget.
  • Oversite, coordination and management of facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships with C Suite and Executives as well as conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage moderate to mid-sized projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

What You'll Need:

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Facility Management certification preferred. (FMP)
  • Property Management background helpful.
  • Strong soft skills/communication skills to interface with C-suite clients on-site.
  • Prefer someone with people management and creation and oversight of financials and budgets.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 10+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Prefer budget creation and analysis experience.
  • Prefer management of quarterly business review process.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Must be computer we use multiple systems Savvy Prism W/O system
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

The minimum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $135,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
