Keeley Construction is looking to hire a
SrEstimator for our Heavy Civil Group in New Braunfels, TX.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, as well as development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing.
- Oversee all capital bids before submission.
- Delegate new customer opportunities within estimating team.
- Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, as well as preparing/reviewing self-perform estimates, and assembling final estimate for owner.
- Drive and maintain all National Opportunities Reporting.
- Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
- Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during the bidding process and maintain master subcontractor/vendor lists by trade.
- Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Exceed expectations with excellent customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight.
- Maintain company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors while performing in a high-volume bid environment.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 5-7 years of experience performing primary responsibilities listed above.
- Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and Word, along with estimating software.
- Demonstrated experience with heavy civil construction projects, specifically water/wastewater treatment plants and process piping.
- Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with staff, vendors, and clients.
- Exceptional time management and customer relation skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to assist with writing proposals and reports.
