This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Environmental Engineer here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be responsible for overseeing the environmental compliance for the Geismar, Louisiana manufacturing facility. In the role, you will be focused on compliance with all applicable state and federal air regulations. While the primary focus will be on air compliance, you will have the opportunity to support other media and environmental compliance related projects. The work environment is dynamic and will require some in-field time to support compliance activities. You will ensure the highest standards of compliance with environmental regulations. You will report to the Director of Environmental Compliance, and you will work at our Geismar, LA.

You will interact with employees and supervisors to coach on environmental issues, influence plant personnel to meet environmental standards.

  • Implementation, monitoring and supporting plant environmental air programs
  • Lead and manage air permitting processes, including preparation, submission, and negotiation of permit applications with regulatory agencies.
  • Make applicability determinations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations such as NESHAP (National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants) and NSPS (New Source Performance Standards).
  • Conduct emission calculations and analyses to support permitting and periodic reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to demonstrate compliance with Clean Air Act regulations, including Title V operating permits and TRI reports.
  • Monitor and review updates to air quality regulations, standards, and policies to ensure proactive adjustments within systems and practices.
  • Perform comprehensive gap analyses of current programs, identifying weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize data visualization tools, such as Power BI, to create dashboards for real-time monitoring of emissions data and compliance metrics.
  • Ensure accurate, transparent, and actionable reporting is developed to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support other media, as necessary
