Role -Sourcing Specialist
Education: Preferred Graduate in Mechanical
Experience: ~ 6 to 10 years
Location- Remote, EST time zone
Salary: $85K - FTE
The Sourcing specialist will work on sourcing to identify areas of untapped opportunity in resins/raw materials, Transportation, and work with sourcing team to develop plans for cost improvement. You'll get to:
Drive the sourcing process through sourcing events, with the guidance of the Global Commodity Manger, to attain optimal results for each targeted category in terms of best total cost (Cost, quality, delivery, payment terms etc.)
Develop skill sets and reference material for "best in class" benchmarks, tools, and processes to be used as leverage points in major sourcing events (cost modeling, global benchmarking, negotiation tools, etc.)
Lead cadence of project meetings with Category managers and Purchasing managers
Align with finance to assure strong approval process confirming all projects are delivering to the P&L
Engage in external training and organizations to identify tools to enhance the sourcing process.
Six to Ten year's professional sourcing experience
Power user of analytical tools - Excel, Power BI and database tools
Understanding of "7 step sourcing process" or similar stage gate based formal sourcing process.
Possess and apply a broad knowledge of Supply Management principles, practices, and procedures.
