Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree (automotive related) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of automotive development or equivalent experience, preferably in active or passive safety.
• Competent in one or more automotive regulatory, compliance & certification domains and understanding of two or more additional domains.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet research.
• Strong research capabilities and ability to apply engineering principles to safety and technology projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate safety compliance and consumer rating submissions for North American vehicles.
• Develop and update forecasts for vehicle safety regulations.
• Conduct benchmarking research on competitors' safety performance and technologies.
• Track and report federal and state vehicle safety regulations.
• Monitor emerging trends in advanced vehicle technologies.
• Interact with regulatory bodies and industry associations including NHTSA and IIHS.
• Timely reporting on critical issues to Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.
• Prepare work products for management approval on vehicle safety matters.
