What you'll be doing
- Provide engineering support to the manufacturing processes to achieve a production schedule meeting the quality requirements at the lowest cost. Directs and coordinates all manufacturing automation projects in the assigned area to comply with corporate standards.
- Perform standard engineering assignments. Select sound techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations under direction of manager. Assess results for application, validity and conformance to specifications.
- Prepares and controls the capital working budget for Manufacturing Projects.
- Utilize engineering tools to solve straightforward problems (e.g., PFMEA, Data analysis).
- Lead project teams as needed to accomplish project objectives.
- Monitor and report project costs including capital and cross-functional expenses. Estimate cost affected by design and/or policy changes. With manager, recommend capital expenditure and production methods for existing or enhanced products or processes.
- Monitor and analyze OEE to improve existing products/processes.
- With manager, formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work in accordance with project and business objectives.
- Provide supervision to engineers, technicians, technologist as day to day and as part of maintenance activities.
- Write, execute and/or support SAT, FAT, IQ, and Software Validation Protocols.
- Write and review Life specification documents.
- Analyze review and recommend Manufacturing and Automation Equipment.
- Technical support for complaints and NCR investigations.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, Safety, FDA-Quality System Regulations and Plant policies.
- Provide aid and support to Manufacturing Department in the selection and/or implementation of V.I.P. Projects.
- Promote a zero-harm work place, and assure that required EHS resources are available and that all applicable EHS practices and rules are being followed by supervised employees.
- Observe data privacy and confidentiality rules at all time.
What you'll bring
- Education and/or Experience: Minimum of BSEE or BSME and 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing or project engineer in a closely related industry. MS engineering a 1-2 years related experience.
- Good managerial and communication skills. Prefer experience with TQM methods (e.g. "six sigma"). Display a solid technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures (e.g. CAD and its application or scheduling a series of technical tasks utilizing software-based tools such as MS Project). Understand and articulate how own role ties within function or discipline. Demonstration of engineering principles application on individual small projects. The position involves necessary administrative process like computer systems documentation; manufacturing performance monitoring and service rendered reporting.
