Job DescriptionThe Technology Architecture & Engineering Department is responsible for worldwide technical strategy, design, implementation, and top level support for all core infrastructure. As part of TA&E, the End-User Computing Engineering group is responsible for maintaining all End-User platforms: Windows desktop, virtualized desktops (server and desktop hosted) and mobile devices.
Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:- Lead the management and integration of firm productivity software (e.g., iManage Work, Litera Compare, MS Office products, Office add-ins, etc.)
- Work closely with internal IT teams and product vendors to design and setup applications to meet firm security and performance standards
- Determine appropriate requirements for application configurations and validate through end-to-end testing
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues across a wide array of hardware and software products
- Be the top level responsible party for escalated support, working directly with external vendors and consultants to resolve issues
- Efficiently triage and prioritize tasks, projects and issues in a highly demanding environment
- Any additional responsibilities as required by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Advanced knowledge of Windows operating system internals and Microsoft based applications and technologies
- Advanced knowledge of using and integrating productivity suite applications
- Experience working with registry, file system, and configuration changes required for enterprise application deployments
- Advanced troubleshooting experience across Windows applications, including performance, compatibility, and integration issues
- Experience supporting 2nd/3rd level escalations, coordinating with vendors to drive root-cause resolution
- Experience managing Windows devices using Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
- Experience building and troubleshooting Win32 app packages (.intunewin)
- Experience with application performance monitoring (APM) and SIEM solutions such as Aternity and Splunk
- Understanding of identity, security, and access controls as they relate to end-user platforms (Azure AD, Conditional Access, etc.)
- Understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP(S), SMB, and other application-layer protocols
- Understanding of API usage between applications
- Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, VB) a plus
- Experience supporting MacOS a plus
- 5+ years of experience in information technology, including 2+ years of experience in engineering
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven experience with large enterprise scale environments
- Proven desire and ability to learn new technologies
- Proven success in leading projects
- Proven focus on customer service and business oriented thinking
Education/Certifications:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field
Estimated salary range is $150,000 - $200,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
